Zamar Musiq Update spring.

Dear friends, here's an update on how we've been doing since the summer of 2025 and what's planned for the upcoming 2026 season. Our mission and vision are: to make Jesus known through prophetic music and thereby release worship in Spirit and in truth. Through the working of the Holy Spirit, transformation will take place in lives, congregations, and the surrounding area.

We had a wonderful autumn/winter with Zamar Musiq. The worship concert in Nijnsel in November was very special. We took a different approach: weeks in advance, we engaged in strategic/prophetic intercession for the area. We prepared a mix of well-known worship songs and our own songs. It was a very good evening with many more people than we expected, including people we and our hosts didn't know. There was a great hunger for God. The people were encouraged, everyone was very actively involved, and a there will be a follow up later this year. The second evening was in Heerenveen in January. We followed the same approach here: prophetic and strategic intercession for the region. Heaven was open here as well. Here, we prophesied specifically for different people. Due to several scandals that have recently come to light in the charismatic movement, we were very cautious. We invited people to test the prophecies and offered guidance, and we also asked them to give us feedback. We received only positive and grateful feedback. God's grace, because prophesying is stepping out, and if it is true, it is from God, not from man, and very encouraging.

Meanwhile, on November 2nd, a concert took place in Zeewolde with one of the bands Jacco plays in. The event was called "Visser & Friends." The singer was ill, and Zamar Musiq was asked to step in. We accepted. This wasn't "worship" like in church, but more of a performance. It was a fantastic experience, and the attendees responded very positively, as did the other bands. We did "Somedays," "Life Is Good," and "Look Up," all original songs found on YouTube/Spotify. Later, a nice article appeared in the local newspaper, stating that we "clearly performed music from our faith perspective."

It's been busy otherwise. Jacco hasn't had enough time to produce, so the two original songs he's working on aren't ready for release yet. To be continued.

We were in Slovenia in August. We were asked to coach a worship team playing at conferences in the Balkans. They turned out to be teenagers between the ages of 14 and 23 with more musical talent than average. The agegroup was a bit unusual for us, but we had a fantastic week with those sweet young people, culminating in a street outreach and a worship evening. We made a lot of music with the teenagers, lots of worship and prayer, and we taught them principles of prophesying with instruments, which we immediately put into practice ( they called it " those games" and they loved it). We also gave workshops for a broader group of people (adults). We've stayed in touch with Urška and Aleš Žagar, and there's talk of returning to serve in their congregation in the near future, probably in May.

"Cast your bread upon the waters": In the past, we received many invitations, and everything seemed to flow naturally, as we also worshipped in various churches on Sundays. Now, the focus is much more on worship evenings that we organize ourselves, or concerts that offer a testimony. For this, we have to take the initiative to make contacts ourselves, as we're not yet very well-known. That's very much outside of both of our comfort zones, but we're doing it prayerfully. As a result, we're having another worship evening in Voorthuizen with a house group on March 12th, we'll be returning to Yapton Free Church in England in June, and we've also made several contacts in North Holland and Amsterdam Zuidoost. If all goes well, 2026 will be full. We do all this prayerfully. We want to build altars for God, open up areas for Him, and encourage people.

Prayer Points

Prayer is a very important and powerful weapon we have been given as Christians. Would you please join us in praying for the success of our current projects, for the new contacts and projects, and for the protection of our schedules (focus), our health, and our home and family? Work balance (Nympha as a psychologist, Jacco as a guitar teacher) is a priority. We are also active in our church, God's Embassy Amsterdam.

We usually play for a small fee or an offering. However, the people who welcome us have been incredibly generous with donations, and we are usually very spoiled. This is wonderful, as equipment sometimes needs to be replaced, traveling costs are real and we would like to invest in projects like outreaches on the streets, a fotographer, or fellow musicians.
