About us

Sing to the Lord a new song! David exclaims this in several places in the Psalms.
Paul says: Sing to God with all your heart psalms and hymns, songs as the Spirit gives you grace (Col. 3:16 NIV). The Spirit of God has spoken throughout all ages and continues to speak to believers today. Do we hear the voice of the Spirit in our times of praise and worship, and do we know how to express it?
Now is the time for prophetic musicians and musical prophets to arise and make the music and songs that the Spirit gives them grace to be heard, both inside and outside the church!
Let His faithful shout for joy in victory, with praise to God from their throats and a two-edged sword in their hands (Psalm 149:5a,6 NIV).
For several years, we, Jacco and Nympha Dijs, have felt a calling and passion for prophetic praise and worship. We believe this provides essential enrichment and depth to personal lives and the Body of Christ. To achieve this, we regularly organize prophetic worship evenings and workshops for large and small groups, worship teams, worship leaders, and churches at home and abroad.

The musicians and songwriters behind this website are Jacco and Nympha Dijs. Jacco started out as a guitarist and guitar teacher. Later, singing and songwriting were added. In addition, Jacco is a producer. Nympha has a background as a classical pianist, but later developed her own style. Singing and songwriting were added to her repertoire. She is also an artist and psychologist.
Jacco and Nympha are a married couple with three adult children. As musicians, they are regularly active in their church, God's Embassy, in Amsterdam and elsewhere.
Their faith in Jesus brings hope to life and has been a tremendous support throughout the years. Therefore, Jacco and Nympha cannot separate the things of daily life from their faith, which is reflected in their music.
Zamar musiq originated from personal times of worship where songs were created, then developed and produced. The name "Zamar" comes from Hebrew, the language of the Bible. It means: "praising God with instruments and with song."
